Why this Matters
BECAUSE A REFINED GIRL IS A POWERFUL GIRL
Our private in-person and online etiquette sessions are designed to create a safe, empowering space specifically for and dainty girls to learn, grow, and confidently embrace elegance, grace, and self-respect. These sessions matter because many young girls are often not given intentional guidance on etiquette, personal presentation, and social confidence that respects both their identity and femininity. Through personalized instruction, we focus on developing poise, communication skills, self-awareness, and refined manners that support success in school, social settings, and future professional environments. More importantly, these sessions help girls recognize their worth, carry themselves with dignity, and understand that elegance and kindness are powerful tools they can use throughout their lives. By investing in etiquette education early, we help cultivate confidence, self-discipline, and a strong sense of identity so that each girl can grow into a woman who moves through the world with grace, intention, and pride in who she is.

FAQ's
Frequently Asked Questions
What age groups do you teach?
We offer etiquette training for girls and young ladies ages 13-17. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to meet girls where they are, with age-appropriate lessons that help them develop confidence, grace, communication skills, social awareness, and polished manners.
Why is etiquette important?
Etiquette is about so much more than saying “please” and “thank you.” At Black & Dainty Girls, we teach etiquette as a tool for building confidence, self-respect, social skills, and character.
Our lessons help girls learn how to communicate confidently, navigate social situations, show respect for themselves and others, practice good table manners, and carry themselves with poise and grace. These skills can benefit her at school, in friendships, at family gatherings, during special events, and eventually in college and professional settings.
Most importantly, we want every girl to understand that being well-mannered doesn't mean changing who she is—it means having the confidence and skills to show up as her best self wherever she goes.
How long are the lessons?
Our Black & Dainty Girls etiquette lessons typically last 60-90 minutes. Each session is designed to be engaging and age-appropriate, with a balance of instruction, hands-on activities, conversation, and practice.
For private and specialized programs, lesson length may vary depending on the girl's age, goals, and the program selected.
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes! Black & Dainty Girls offers private etiquette lessons for girls who would benefit from more personalized instruction and one-on-one attention.
Private lessons allow us to tailor each session to your daughter's specific needs, whether she wants to build confidence, improve her social skills, master table manners, develop polished communication, or prepare for a special event.
Our goal is to create a comfortable, encouraging environment where she can learn at her own pace while developing the confidence and grace to navigate any setting.
Do parents attend the sessions?
For private lessons, parents are welcome to remain nearby, but we encourage parents to allow their daughter to participate independently when appropriate. This gives her the opportunity to practice communication, decision-making, and social skills in a supportive environment.
For group sessions, parent attendance may vary depending on the program, age group, and location. We will provide parents with specific guidelines before each session.
Our goal is to create a safe, positive space where girls can build confidence while keeping parents informed and involved in their growth.
What should my child wear?
We encourage girls to attend Black & Dainty Girls etiquette lessons in neat, comfortable, and age-appropriate attire. Clothing should allow her to move comfortably while reflecting the polished and confident image we teach.
For regular lessons, there is no need for formal attire—think clean, modest, and put-together. For special events, tea parties, brunches, or formal etiquette experiences, we may provide specific dress guidelines in advance.
Most importantly, we want every girl to feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful while learning how to present herself with grace and poise.
My child is shy. Will this help?
Absolutely! Our etiquette lessons are designed to help girls build confidence, communication skills, and social awareness in a supportive and encouraging environment.
We never expect a shy child to suddenly become the loudest person in the room. Instead, we help her develop the confidence to speak clearly, introduce herself, make eye contact, participate in conversations, and navigate social situations at her own pace.
Our goal isn't to change her personality—it’s to help her feel comfortable, capable, and confident being herself. With practice and positive encouragement, etiquette training can equip a shy girl with the tools she needs to feel more confident at school, social events, family gatherings, and, eventually, in professional settings.
Do you teach dining etiquette?
Yes! Dining etiquette is an important part of our Black & Dainty Girls programs. Girls learn practical table manners and how to feel confident and comfortable while dining in different settings.
Depending on the program, lessons may include proper utensil use, napkin etiquette, table posture, conversation skills, serving etiquette, ordering at restaurants, and how to handle common dining situations with grace and confidence.
Our goal is to make dining etiquette practical and enjoyable—not about perfection, but about helping girls develop the confidence to sit at any table and know how to conduct themselves with poise.
Can siblings attend together?
Absolutely! Siblings are welcome to attend Black & Dainty Girls' etiquette lessons together. Learning alongside a sister can make the experience fun, encouraging, and memorable.
For private lessons, we can tailor the experience to accommodate siblings while still considering each girl's individual age, personality, and learning needs. For group programs, siblings can participate together as long as they meet the program's age requirements.
We love creating opportunities for sisters to learn, practice, and grow in confidence, grace, and good manners together.
How do I know if my child is making progress?
We want parents to see more than just a completed lesson—we want you to see real growth in your daughter’s confidence, communication, and social skills.
Throughout the program, we observe how she participates, communicates, practices proper etiquette, and handles different social situations. As she progresses, you may notice her becoming more comfortable introducing herself, speaking with others, practicing table manners, showing consideration, and carrying herself with greater confidence.
For private lessons, we can also focus on specific goals you have for your daughter and provide feedback on the skills she is developing.
Our goal is for every girl to leave Black & Dainty not only knowing what to do, but feeling confident enough to put those skills into practice in everyday life.
Do you offer etiquette classes for birthdays or special events?
Yes! Black & Dainty Girls offers special etiquette experiences for birthdays, girls' gatherings, tea parties, and other special events.
We can create an engaging, age-appropriate experience that combines etiquette education with fun and memorable activities. Depending on the event, topics may include dining etiquette, introductions, conversation skills, table manners, confidence, poise, and social grace.
These experiences are perfect for parents who want to give their daughter and her friends something more meaningful than a traditional party—an experience where they can learn, laugh, connect, and leave with skills they'll carry with them for years to come.
For private events, we can discuss your group size, location, age range, and event goals to create an experience that fits your celebration.
How much do the classes cost?
Our pricing depends on the type of etiquette experience you choose. We offer private one-on-one lessons, small-group sessions, and special event experiences, with pricing based on the length of the session, number of girls, and level of personalization.
For families seeking individualized attention, private lessons offer a more tailored experience based on your daughter’s specific needs and goals. We also offer group and special-event options for families who want to learn and grow together.
For current pricing and available packages, please contact Black & Dainty Girls or view our current program offerings.
Where are the classes held?
Black & Dainty Girls offers etiquette lessons in flexible locations based on the program you choose. Private lessons may be offered virtually or in person, while group classes and special events may be held at a designated venue or another agreed-upon location.
When you register, we’ll provide the specific location details for your selected program.
